Job Aids
Not every learning design requires an eLearning solution. Job aids are simple devices with instructions on how to complete a work-related task. Job aids are often paired with eLearning to create a blended learning solution to support the learning process.
A few examples of job aids are
flowcharts
diagrams
instructions
checklists
any document that helps the learner to remember how to do a task
Job Aid as an Easy Reference
This is an example of a page from a detailed job aid that I created as my team migrated over to a new intake and project management platform. This job aid was created in Canava and also incorporated screen cast explainer videos embedded within the job aid for easy reference and clarification.
Process Flow for New Intake Software
I created this job aid to give detailed steps in the instructional design process for our team as we were migrating over to a Sharepoint intake and project management system. The cumbersome structure of Sharepoint made the project management process difficult for our team with lots of documentation errors occurring due to lack of familiarity with the process and software.
Easy Screencasting Reference
This job aid, which was created in Canva, was use to help train a Subject Matter Expert (SME) with the best practices in creating the training videos that she wanted to record for her employees.
